It's the time of the year when we gather as a big community family and celebrate the mid-autumn festival to keep our tradition going. We will be releasing the beautiful water lanterns again this year! Come to join us at Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens!

Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025 (rain out day the following Sunday Oct. 5th)

Time: 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm

 

Place: Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

Address: 8909 W. 179th Street, Overland Park, KS 66013

 

Activities: Lantern riddle guess, Tai-chi, Dragon and Lion dance, Chinese medicine, Culture showcases, Kids friendly outdoor games, Karaoke, Food, Moon cakes, Launch water lanterns, etc.

General admission is just $2, and children under 2 get in free. Enjoy a variety of complimentary activities throughout the event. Lanterns and food will be available for purchase both online and at the venue.

​

Gather with friends and family to share in the joy and meaning of this special festival. As the lanterns light up the water, let's reflect on unity, harmony, and the beauty of our shared heritage.
