2022 Kansas City Chinese New Year Gala (Changed to online event)

Today, KCCA received a notice from Mid-America Nazarene University, the lessor of the Spring Festival Gala venue, that due to the increased spread of the epidemic in the region and on campus, the University has decided to restrict all recent large-scale activities on campus. Although the audience cannot watch on-site due to the limitation of the venue, KCCA's Spring Festival Gala on January 22 will be held online at the original time. All scheduled acts will go on and be broadcast with the same wonderful performance! We appreciate your understanding and hope you can continue to support the community's Chinese New Year celebrations!

The changed KCCA online Spring Festival Gala time is as follows:

Thank you all for your support in buying tickets. The tickets that are scheduled to be sold are sold out in advance. The Kansas City Chinese Association (KCCA) announces our New Year Gala Events to celebrate the Year of Tiger!  New Year Gala is a tradition of the community to welcome a Lunar new year.  This year our celebration, themed “Kansas City in the Lights,” includes the following two events:

In person live show (Admission)

Premiere of KCCA New Year Performance Art Movie (Free)

Both events will be filled with talented performers, celebration of cultural traditions, and are long awaited opportunities for the community to come together!  Please mark your calendar!  Information for live show tickets and the movie premiere to come.

KCCA January 22, 2022 New Year Gala COVID Protocol

• Masks are required to be worn by all attendances while in the hall and by all audiences inside the theater.
• Temperature check and hand sanitization required at entrance.
• Families are strongly encouraged to keep social distance in the hall and to sit with some space in between inside the theater.

Other COVID-19 related health protocols may be in effect at the time of performance.  Future updates will be provided to ticket holders prior to the performance. Any ticket holder who does not comply with any COVID-19 related health protocol may be required to leave the theater, and his/her ticket will not be refunded. Guests with accessibility questions, or who require additional assistance related to the venue’s COVID-19 policies may email info@kccaks.org.
